Medical Facilities
Coalinga Regional Medical Center
is a 24-bed acute care facility with an attached 54-bed skilled
nursing facility/extended care center. At The present time,
there are 16 physicians on staff including three pediatricians,
a general surgeon, an orthopedic surgeon, a pain management
physician and several general and family practitioners.
Services at CRMC include a 24-hour
emergency room, observation rooms, radiology services, full
service laboratory, physical therapy and two operating rooms.
A chapel, private patios and gardens all add to the quality
of healthcare The Ralph Neate Extended Care Center offers
care for patients with special needs.
Other specialty services offered
in The Coalinga area are dental, chiropractic, optometry,
podiatric, psychological and a medical social work program.
Municipal Services
Coalinga
has a police department with 18 full-time and five reserve
officers, and 10 patrol cars. There is a fire department
with 14 full-time and 17 volunteer firefighters. Street
cleaning and garbage pickup are available. Monthly water
fee is $30 and sewer fee is $8.40.
Transportation
Airport: Coalinga Municipal
Airport has a 5,000 feet of lighted runway. It is located
three miles east of Highway 198 on Phelps. Coalinga Taxi Service,
935-3586, is located at the airport.
Bus: Coalinga Transit
System provides daily service to Fresno and other points.
Coalinga Dial A Ride is available for transportation within
the community.
Highways: North/South
1-5 provides direct access to Los Angeles, San Diego and San
Francisco. It is located 12 miles east of Coalinga. East-West
Highway 198 offers easy access to the Pacific Coast and Sierra
Nevadas. Highway 33 connects with 1-5 and to points North
and South in the San. Joaquin Valley.
Rail: Amtrak terminal
is located in Hanford, 50 miles northeast of Coalinga.
